Our Team
Shea Taylor is the Managing Partner of Open Source Tailors.
Shea received his start in the IT industry 15 years ago while working his way through college at Brigham Young University as an assistant account representative at Propeller, Inc. Propeller was a direct VAR for Toshiba Computer Systems that handled enterprise accounts such as Oracle and Peoplesoft. A couple years later, he was offered a senior sales position from one of Propeller’s competitors, Calculated Research and Technology. Here, he remained for five years until he was recruited away by an IBM Premier Business Parnter based in Colorado. While working for this IBM partner, he saw the potential in the market for a more open standards based solution set in both hardware and software. Thus, Open Source Tailors was born as a company who “tailors” open source solutions to drive down the cost of IT while driving up performance.
Shea graduated with a degree in Economics from Brigham Young University, is married with 4 children, loves SCUBA diving, mountain biking, and anywhere tropical!
